When the University of Georgia homecoming queen and her bare-footed priest fiance rode up on their bikes to Heirloom Café in Athens for our first meeting, I knew I had to have them as clients!
Gregory and Megan met a few years ago on the day Gregory was ordained to the priesthood; however, their paths did not cross again until 2015. That year, they became friends and eventually stopped hiding their feelings for one another, and they became a couple.
In January of 2016, Gregory proposed to Megan while they were on a walk at Birchmore Trail in Athens. Megan was completely taken by surprised and asked, “Are you serious?!”, which was, of course, followed by an ecstatic, “Yes!”
Megan found me through The Knot, and I’m so happy that she did! I absolutely loved getting to know the Tiptons and their classic sense of style. The bridesmaids wore steel blue chiffon dresses, which perfectly complimented the white flowered bouquets and boutonnieres. Megan’s dress had intricate lace on the neckline, and she paired it with some classic, yet modern, three-pearl studs. The groom and his groomsmen looked so sleek in their black suits and bowties!
What I most love about this couple is how they love others so well. Their wedding was a reflection of this, and there is such beauty in that. Many blessings and congratulations to you two! I truly loved being your photographer and can’t wait to see where marriage takes y’all!
Cheers to the Tiptons!
