I travelled to Decatur, Ga. to photograph Alan and Kayleigh’s engagement session this past week. Their apartment is located in the heart of Decatur, and the city made for the perfect location. We had a blast discovering that we share a mutual love for music, food, and sci-fi!
Kayleigh wore her grandmother’s jewelry, which I really loved. The shoot has hints of Wes Anderson (note the symmetry, vintage look, and pops of color). It also features a lot of the urban landscape in Decatur. Think Athens, Ga., but more populated and in Atlanta’s backyard.
Our locations mostly consisted of happy hour restaurants (Decatur square, Mac McGee, and Leon’s). We ended that part of the shoot at the Kimball House for oysters, which is a great little spot if you’re looking for a well-served meal or a glass of wine. The details were impeccable!
Alan and Kayleigh are such a fun and sweet couple. They’re set to be wed in 2015 at Ashford Manor, and I am so excited to be their photographer!
